Kira had never set foot in a club before, too scared of not fitting in, of not knowing how to dance, of not knowing how to flirt. So, even if she was dying to get to know people in Beacon Hills who were not involved in any kind of supernatural drama, going to the club had always been last in Kira's list of priorities.
That was, of course, until Scott and Allison had kind of gotten back together after the Oni were defeated. She wasn't sure why, but knowing they were together put a sour taste in her mouth. She thought she had clicked with Scott, but perhaps she had been nothing but a rebound while they fixed themselves.
After the battle, she had left with her mother, gone to her room and spent exactly 37 minutes deciding on what to wear before sneaking out of the window with only one destination in mind.
The internet said that a drink and a bad boy were all Kira needed to stop feeling as if she had been broken up with. Specially because Kira and Scott had not being together. Not really. They kissed a couple of times, sure, but they were not dating.
Kira had no reason to feel upset. Not really.
Except…
Except that once again she had been left alone.
Kira was tired of being alone. She wanted to know how it felt to go home with someone even if it was only for a night. Perhaps specially then.
So Kira sneaked out of her room and into the club. She was wearing jeans and a simple orange t-shirt with her leather jacket thrown on top. When she looked in the mirror before going out, she thought she looked older, old enough to catch some guys' eyes in the dance floor. Of course, to do so, Kira had to get to the dance floor.
She squeezed her body in between the people dancing until she was deep enough that she couldn't see the bar from her position. She tried copying other people's moves without much success. She was awkwardly dancing while she nervously looked around, trying to catch someone's eye. If anyone looked remotely interested, she would walk in their direction, get a drink, and make a move.
The problem was that no one seemed to notice her at all.
Kira stopped dancing. She closed her eyes and tried to let the music wrap around her the same way she'd let her Fox aura shine before. It was not an exact science, but Kira felt something buzz underneath her skin. She imagined that if any shifter saw her, they'd get a first row seat to her aura light show, but she didn't care.
She moved her hips slowly, in undulating movements that almost matched the beat of the music, then she moved her head from side to side. She kept her arms loosely down her sides and let herself enjoy the music. It was a really good mix she had never heard before. When the bass dropped, everyone around her started jumping up and down and Kira felt the need to be part of it. She jumped as she danced, whooping and cheering with everyone else when the song changed, the beats transitioning smoothly between the end of one song and the beginning of the next one.
The music calmed down and Kira stopped jumping, dancing in her spot with her eyes closed until someone took her hand. Kira jumped back and opened her eyes to find Lydia peering up at her. The redhead was wearing a low cut top that prominently displayed some of her many beautiful qualities. Kira tried to look anywhere but her breasts almost spilling out of the top.
Lydia came closer without letting go of her hand. "Are you on your own?"
For some reason, Kira felt herself blush. She didn't want Lydia to pity her, so she shook her head.
"Oh." Lydia let go of her hand. "I thought— never mind."
Kira stopped dancing and frowned at Lydia. "What did you think?"
Lydia came close enough that Kira could smell her perfume. She spoke directly in her ear when she said, "I thought you and Scott weren't together."
Kira felt her frown deepen.
"We're not," she yelled over the music.
"Oh, you came with friends?"
Kira shook her head again. "I don't have any friends."
It was Lydia's turn to frown. "We are friends."
"Are we? It's really difficult for me to know when someone is being friendly with me. I'm not used to it."
Lydia's smile turned predatory. She ran a single finger up Kira's arm, sending shivers through her whole body. "Can you tell I'm being friendly now?
Kira's mouth felt dry. Lydia's soft hands on her body was not what she had expected tonight. But she loved the idea. Still, Kira asked, "I thought we were friends?"
Lydia came closer, talking in her ear. Kira felt her warm breath caress her ear and something curled at the bottom of her stomach. "We don't have to be friends tonight if that'll make you feel better."
Then she pulled away slightly, just a couple of inches from Kira's face, her eyes were on Kira's mouth and the tip of Kira's tongue peeked out to moisten her lips. Lydia leaned her body closer, pressing herself against Kira.
"You can tell me to back off," Lydia said, using her free hand to put Kira's hair behind her ear.
Kira shook her head. "I don't really know what I'm doing," she admitted as she leaned closer.
"Good thing I do," Lydia said, closing the distance between their lips.
The first thing that Kira became aware of was that Lydia's lips tasted like strawberry. They were extremely soft under Kira's, sweet and tender and like nothing she had ever experienced. The second thing she became aware of was Lydia's hands sliding up her arms until they were behind her neck, pulling Kira closer to her. Kira didn't know what to do with her hands, so she put them on Lydia's waist. That seemed to encourage Lydia, who licked Kira's bottom lip until Kira's mouth opened to her.
Lydia danced against her and Kira realized that it was much easier to dance when you had someone to match your body movements to. Lydia kissed Kira and her hands roamed under the leather jacket, softly touching her stomach and her breasts through the sheer fabric of her orange top.
They kissed and Kira's own hands found the curve of Lydia's ass and pulled her closer against her body. Lydia seemed to be so in tune to the music, that she knew when to switch from slow undulating moves, to outright grinding against Kira's leg.
They kissed for a long time, long enough that Kira was sure people around them were staring, but all she could focus on was the girl plastered to her body, warm and soft and perfect.
Lydia pulled away, eyes glazed over but her lipstick still perfectly in place. "Do you wanna go somewhere else?"
Kira thought back to the internet and their advice to get a drink and a bad boy to forget about her loneliness. Nowhere in the internet had she read about what to do if the prettiest girl in town took an interest in her.
She nodded at Lydia, who smiled at her beautifully, and grabbed her hand to follow her out of the dance floor and out of the club.
Once they were outside, Kira asked, "what now?"
"That's up to you. My mother's in Italy," she said. "I'm home alone for a few days."
Kira swallowed. "I wouldn't… I wouldn't know what to do."
Lydia cocked an eyebrow at her. "Luckily for you, I'm a great tutor."
Kira huffed a laugh. "I didn't know you liked girls," she said, trying to buy herself more time.
"Girls, boys, what's the difference really? They're all a means to an end, right?"
"Right." Kira felt awkward about her lack of experience now. "I've never… I mean, I'm not… but not with a girl, ever."
"Do you want to know what it feels like?" Lydia was looking up at her through her eyelashes. Right then, all Kira wanted to know was the taste of Lydia's skin.
Kira swallowed and nodded. "Yeah."
Lydia had a glint in her eye as she said, "spend the night with me?"
And because Kira had always loved following pretty girls around, she did.
